Robert Altman in a group portrait with some of the best jazz musicians
of our time on the set of his movie, 'Kansas City.' The Cannes Film Festival
requested a portrait of Altman with the musicians. There is probably not
an actor in the western film world who wouldn't want the honor of working
with Altman. It was a wonderful education working with him. I also worked
on the preproduction of this movie. He had originally planned to have me
shoot a significant amount of still photos that would be used inside the
movie, but he eventually decided to film in the conventional manner before
filming started. |
